Pat, you raise the issue of price, or "how much would you pay". Essentially this idea is asking Strelets to take a gamble by putting all the money up front and hoping that the people who say they'll buy, will actually buy in the "vast quantity" they say they'll buy in. The amount of sales is obviously affected by popularity, and probably this factor is more important than cost because we can see with just this few people posting they are already saying they would "pay more". However, we can already see that people don't really agree on what such a set (or sets) should include.
So how can we judge the popularity of a proposed set and satisfy ourselves that hobbyists will not find some trivial excuse to not buy the sets they said they'd buy by the truckload? And get 'unusual' figures made?
