I understand. Does Strelets want to make figures for the Russo-Japanese War or the French and Indian War? There are virtually no figures representing the French and Indian War. The conflict was significant as it set the stage for the American Revolution, with figures like George Washington gaining critical experience that would later help him during the revolution.

I have a feeling that they won’t be able to Birdie. Right now they’re only able to produce about a dozen or so sets per year, and a majority of those are dedicated to their long running Napoleonic, WSS, or WWII ranges. Every now and then we may get a surprise like the Seminole War sets we got last year, but I certainly wouldn’t count on them being able to launch large ranges of that capacity any time soon. HaT is currently working on a new AWI series though, which definitely opens up the possibilities for simple conversions for the French and Indian War.

I also have a feeling Asher is completely correct here. I think an absolute best case scenario for the Seven Years' War/French & Indian War from Strelets would be a surprise run of 3-4 infantry sets that would be Last of the Mohicans themed, so maybe one each for the Brits/French/Hurons/Mohicans or Haudenosaunee. But would not count on that, as we are lucky Strelets are able to continue their current lines Asher mentioned.
They have also been having major production issues, but HaT also knows the SYW is a very requested era and are planning a big AWI line. They might delve into the prior war at some point in the future if they have the resources, but nothing is guaranteed of course.
I do think it is interesting that in the peak production days of the hobby (2000-2022) 1700s topics were not covered more than they were. It is a very popular century filled with a variety of conflicts, yet outside of Karl XII v Pytor I during the Great Northern War and of course Strelets' WoSS line the choices have been pretty sparse. Even the AWI has struggled, though that is a very difficult conflict to represent given the diversity of uniforms for all sides.

We see some opportunities in North America without fully pledging into long-term commitment that 7YW would mean for us.
Those of us that are 50+ y.o. would understand what we mean by that:wink:
