Re: Week-end news

I love the ragged appearance! The Strelets campaign look for many of their sets is appreciated. I also have no idea who these figures are. Maybe something for the Seminole wars?

Re: Week-end news

Woah aren’t these exciting! Hmm I love the challenge. They definitely look American in appearance, especially the fellow on the right. The crouched/kneeling one is in such a cool pose. And the peaked cap with the havelock is super interesting. I’m gonna have to say either Mexican, or most likely Seminole wars again. Potentially Texan War of Independence? Either way, super cool and could be probably be used for all three regardless. Definitely will be getting this when the time comes!

Any hints Strelets?

Still puzzled as to who these guys are...

Re: Any hints Strelets?

Dear Andy,

Next publications of master models from this set will be the best hint😎.

Best regards,

Strelets

Re: Any hints Strelets?

Well, they aren't Napoleonic Austrian Hussars, Danish Dragoons, Hungarian Insurrectio, Haitian rebels, Russian Bashkirs, Lithuanian Tartars, Polish Krakus, French Sailors of the Guard, Tyrolean rebels, Prussian Cuirassiers, Mysore infantry, or Duchy of Waraw Horse Artillery, but I'm sure they will be welcomed by many.

I think Asher is on the money again with his thoughts. Apart from the havelock on the kneeling figure, the other has a neckerchief suggesting both are in hot dusty conditions like Texas or Mexico.

Keep up the good work inspiring us hobbyists.

Regards
Danny

Re: Week-end news

Not wearing any gear at all, just weapons. Look like irregulars or guerillas. The right one looks Latin, a Cuban independence fighter, Mambi? The flintlock pistol is too obsolete for that, but you never know what these guys bring to the fight.
So my vote is Spanish-American War, members of the Cuban Liberation Army (on US side).
