I agree Mark. It definitely looks like a foldable leather cap (a first in 1/72 scale) worn by both Americans and Texans during the 1830s. Here is a great example- https://pin.it/oa63a0mx3
I have a feeling this will be another great utility set. With certain men being able to be used from 1812, TWI, Seminole, Mexican American, and even for things such as bleeding Kansas. I’m very much looking forward to it!

I agree completely! The only thing that disappoints me is there will be no mounted sets in this range, as the nature of Florida was not suited for cavalry actions. I would love some Mexican War suitable mounted volunteers I could use for Texas Rangers.

If referring to the releases above, Hannants in UK is showing the following sets now as future release:

WSS Dutch firing line
WSS Holy Roman empire Grenadiers
Napoleonic british Light infantry in attack and also Marching
WW2 IJA In melee
WW2 Early USA in Defence

and re releasing 2 older Napoleonic:
Allied chiefs of staff - British and Austrian
Russian and Prussian Chiefs of staff
