Since painting and other projects have been on hiatus recently, I have been doing a lot of building. This shows a bit of how my wagons are constructed.
Wagons are hard to come by and the horses and wheels are even worse. But I bought wagons I don't need, to use the wheels for wagons I do need, then re-purposed all the other parts for stuff I wanted. The Conestoga wagon boxes became pontoons for bridges, and the tenting for them became covered entrances for hotels and office buildings, and are probably going to show up on other wagons soon too.
Cutting mats are essential gear to keep your table top or desk from getting cut up. Mine gets enough wear and tear even with one. Mine were getting pretty ratty so it was time to get two new ones.

Giant bug research is carried out at the Steve Snark Institute of Myrmecology. Here Doctors Medford are greeted by the Institute Director. They are here to inspect his newest find, a giant grasshopper, captured near Paxton, Illinois.
Progress has been made on my brick trucks. I work on a bunch of trucks at the same time, but one of them is always two or three or more steps closer to finishing than the others. That's because I can test out concepts and ideas before I do them on 10 trucks and find out they don't work.
This seems to be working.
Working on lego type brick based vans from the horseless carriage. This is the process. It is not very time consuming and the parts are very inexpensive. Plastiruct Plastic Weld glues the bricks very well.
Various National Guard, militia, and home guard type units were experimenting with motor vehicle in the USA almost from the beginning of motorized transports invention.
