My new wargaming blog

Greetings, gentlemen.

I've just started my wargaming blog in which I will write about my "imagi-nation", the County of Australusia, a ficticious small country located in the Iberian Peninsula during the middle ages.

I will also review miniatures, post pictures of games, pictures of my painted minis, share a few ideas for the hobby, etc. Just like many of you guys have been doing for years. I've read many wargaming blogs and felt inspired by all the cool texts I've seen so far.l!

My focus is on 1/72 scale Medieval miniatures, but I'll probably cover the history of Australusia from its foundation during the Reconquista Wars untill the late Reinassance. I write both in Portuguese and in English.

I'm glad to join the community and the hobby!

Cheers!

Re: My new wargaming blog

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Good luck with your blog and your County of Australusia, from someone who lives a bit further south in South Australia, part of Australasia, which while not an 'Imagination' sometimes feels that way when I follow the local politics, being subject to the whims of someone else's fantasy.

Regards
Danny

Re: My new wargaming blog

Thank you, Danny, for your kind words!

I gotta admit I was not thinking of Australasia when I came up with the name of my imagi-nation.

I was thinking of merging the words Austral + Andalusia

But it is a nice coincidence anyway! Hope you like it!

Re: My new wargaming blog

Hello, yes it is a good combination of the two names.

Like you I have collected a large number of sets from Strelets of their Dark Age and medieval ranges, together with other's El Cid.

One day if I stop painting Napoleonics I will set about painting them and gaming.

I will follow your blog with interest for inspiration.

Cheers
Danny
