Is anyone researching the influence of bacteria and virus on the evolution of humans? I read about this concept in a Greg Bear sci-fi novel. It is a facinating concept. Writers can venture into territory that is fanciful or speculative but I was wondering if Mr. Bear might have gotten the idea from real research.
