My great uncle was chief clerk at Skegness station (possibly earlier at Spilsby and Woodhall Spa) pre-WWI to early 1950s. He was Norman Killick Morley and I\'m trying to ID him in the photo of Skeggy station staff 1930s. Can anyone please assist? |

I and a team of collectors are currently planning the major 2020 exhibition to commemorate 50 years since the East Lincolnshire Line closed. We had a similar one in 2015 at Alford and it occurs to me you could have some of the super images from that event on your web site. Please contact me by email. |

Spent several years in my youth as a volunteer on the Lincs Coast Light Railway when it was at Humberston so it is great to see the past and present shown here. I am also interested in local history and this site has given me a wonderful insight in to our railway heritage. Thank you |

Loved the photos. I was wondering if we could reproduce the photo of the Station Master and Porter at Elsham station (courtesy of Patrick Draper) standing in front of their garden in a poster on the tradition of gardening at stations for an exhibition at our station to mark 150th anniversary of the Brighton to Seaford line on Sat June 7th. |

Excellent site bringing back many memories from when I lived in Suffolk and visited Lincolnshire. Many thanks for all the hard work in creating the site. Tim Winterbone (age 70)...trainspotter 1948 onwards. |

Marvellous site of a neglected area of railway history. Although I\'m a Londoner and have always lived in \"third rail\" territory, I have a great interest in Lincs. railways as my Dad came from Skeggy and his Dad from Louth. As a lad I spent my summer holidays in Skegness and have a note of being hauled by 61207 from Kings Cross to Skegness on Saturday 6th August 1960 on a Butlins Express. Heaven.........but it all disappeared too soon. |

Super web site - very informative and wide ranging. As a youngster, I travelled to Hull on family days out, crossing the Humber on the wonderful \"Castles\" paddle-steamers, dashing to the engine room galleries to watch the activities of men and machine. New Holland to Hull, or vice versa, was always the best part of my day out! Arrival at Cleethorpes by train for a trip to our local seaside was always a treat, too, pushing through the crowds to see the many steam hauled excursions, so it\'s good to have reminders of the way things used to be and amazing that the site has so many pictures redolent of the time when I was growing up. Thanks |

Just love those new pix of the train tickets from the Spilsby branch -- a miracle any have survived. Spilsby - Mumby Road (numbered 3147) -- amazing that anyone should make such a journey (and presumably walk the rest of the way to Huttoft or Mumby) |
