My name is Tony Brown from Widnes I recently found out when I was in my sixties that I was adopted and my previous name was Jim Keogh. My Birth mother was Bridget Keogh. I was adopted by the Brown family from west Bank Widnes. My adopted mother was Kathlene Brown from Dock Street.My birth mother came from West Meath in Ireland.

Fantastic job you have done on your family history Not sure if I fit into your family or not as I know very little of my Keogh family however what I do know is her name was Margaret Keogh bn abt 1795 and married John Hickey in Ireland thinking around Fahybeg, Killaloe, Clare, Ireland or possibly O\'Briensbridge where my Hickeys\' are from.Thanks again Karen

Hi Bernard. I was fascinated to read about Bernard Joseph Page Hanify. I believe that my great great-grandfather Michael John Page Hanify was his cousin. His mother was Catherine Page and from his generation all descendants have Page as the last given name. In fact two of his cousins William (b 1841) and John (b 1836) both in Clonbrock followed Michael to Australia. We knew that his mother was a Page and sister to Catherine but not much else. John worked with him in the courts at Ararat, Victoria and was the informant on his death certificate. William became a hotel keeper. Our surname was hyphenated in the late 1800s by my great grandfather.

Bernard, I have just spent about 2 hours reading all you have done to your new updated website. It is awesome. I will send you some photos of my Mom and Dad and others in case you want to add them. My Dad, also Bernard Joseph Keogh and my Mom, Margaret Mason Keogh are both deceased and I do have some old photos of when Grandma and Grandpa Keogh visited here which were left in a box and albums.

Hi, I put my fathers name onto google( Bernard Alfred Keogh,) and your site popped up, I could,nt believe it. I read ur wonderful story and wondered if somehow we were related. I remember my dad saying that the family was from Ireland and then came to England.

Bernard, It's great to see the additions. This site has been a lot of fun to visit. The McRedmond family here in Nashville has the picture of Aunt Mary Ann Rowan along with Uncle Ed and their kin on their wall. So surely you are their cousin as well. Their first cousins are the Tagues who live in Widnes. The birth announcements of Thomas and Catherine are special. If I have this right, Catherine Byrne Keogh's mother was Aunt Mary Ann Rowan's sister. Wish I had something to connect that. It truely is a small world if this is so. Keep it up. Planning a trip May 2012.
