Joye, All I can say is WOW. You have an amazing story and you know in your heart you might the right decision for your daughter. I hate hearing stories about adoptive parents not following through with the promises they made before the birth of the child. It is difficult as birthmothers because once we sign the papers, our rights are over. Perhaps some day that will change. I am new at birthmom buds too. I read your story. It was beatiful and you have beautiful children. I gave my son up for adoption in Sept.2002. I didn't mention in my story that I, as well, lost contact with the adopting family. Micheal was 12 months old when I received the last picture and update. Don't feel ashamed about your past, my last daughter that I had I did not know who the father was and it was right after I gave my son up for adoption. Come to find out her father ran away to Hawaii when he said he would be there. God bless and stay strong. Love Ra |

What a sad and touching story. I am so sorry that your daughter's adoptive parents closed the adoption. My daughter's adoptive parents did the same thing.
