Extra Heavy Roman Legionaries

Thanks to Strelets for putting so much effort into sculpting the Dacian army figures. To complete the Roman-Dacian war, I'd like to suggest that Strelets add a few sets for Extra Heavy Roman Legionaires, who fought so bravely against the Dacians.

Does anybody know if the Roman cavalry had similar armor at the time?

Re: Extra Heavy Roman Legionaries

The extra armour i believe is based images on the Adamklissi monument/s built on the order of trajan to commemorate his victory over the dacians you can find a lot of sites with photos on the web...

the pic above is a cavalryman from the monument he wears a mail shirt and carries a spear and sword and an oblong shield(only visible as an outline) but nothing else although you may expect him to have a helmet as well...
You can expect the images to be fairly accurate representations as it was built by the army....
You also note that the legioaires look quite different to modern interpretations largely based on Connelys artwork, no lorica segmentata for example only scale and mail and the helmets are different to....

Cheers
