I read some old posts regarding GNW Swedish, where opinions were given as to which were better between Strelets & Zvezdva swedish infantry - and some valid points were made.
Something not mentioned is that one point of distinction between Swedish and other armies is Ga Pa. In fact, I think that really sets them apart in tactics. Whilst I am not a gamer, I reckon that would make an exciting point in a game.
I understand Ga Pa to be (based on Hoglund & Sallnus at P.22) the final 30 metre charge is with sword drawn.
Anyway, my point is - that is how the Strelets are depicted, however, Zvezda don't have anything like that.
To depict a Ga Pa attack, from Strelets though, I think some conversion are needed though, as there are only grenadiers advancing sword in hand, no musketeers, and no pikes.
good point Malcom, the zvezda Swedish really miss the Swedish feeling about them. also, I don't know what to thnik about their uniforms. They do have a lot of lace on their coats, which doesn't look that Swedish, and they were their coats open, whereas Swedish coats were most often closed. It would be splendid if Strelets brought out a mini sets with chargeching ga pa infantry, and one with pikemen. :)
