Question to Strelet's Prussian question below

Strelets:

Thank you for considering Napoleonic Prussian cavalry. A lot of us are waiting eagerly.

My question is, which unit will be made this time? HaT is preparing the early hussars and dragoons (masters look really nice) but I don't mind if you produce later uhlans and dragoons to improve the old ones already made by HaT.

Re: Question to Strelet's Prussian question below

I would be pretty happy with mini-sets of line and landwehr infantry (in column).
Landwehr cavalry would be good too- they formed a huge part of the Prussian cav, and though you could convert them from dragoons, I'm not too thrilled with either the Hat or the Italeri variety- and it's such a pain to fit tons of them with lances.

Re: Re: Question to Strelet's Prussian question below

As we are talking about 1813 prussians here is the wish options:

Dragoons and Uhlans - good quality not hat stuff
Ost Preuss National cavalry Regiment - very unique uniforms
landwehr cavalry - either in litewka or usual uniform - just make them
And eventually some regular infantry - regiments 1 to 11

Anything anyway.
Colour can be whatever the non painters prefer

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Question to Strelet's Prussian question below

In that case, the landwehr cav please!!!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Question to Strelet's Prussian question below

I strongly support Landwehr cavalry, the Ost Preusisch national Kavalrie Regiment, hussars, and dragoons. (well, that's almost all there was :) )

Cheers,

Christiaan

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Question to Strelet's Prussian question below

How about 4 sets of Landwehr cavalry:

-Winter at rest
-Winter attacking
-Summer at rest
-Summer attacking

and then a Big Box set with Landwehr camp/officers etc.

And let's not forget the cuirassiers...

they also did a good job in the 1813-14 campaigns!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Question to Strelet's Prussian question below

Many thanks for your answer.

If i can give my opinion...

For cavalry i prefer : landwer, then Hussard, then tghe other.

For the poses i prefer : on march, scouting, awaiting or skirmiching.

One box on march, awaiting and one in scouting skirmiching (combat ready).

If just on box (12 poses) : an officer and a trumpeter (no standar bearer) awaiting, 3 poses on march (no combat ready), 3 poses scouting (march combat ready), 3 poses awaiting and one pose (NCO ?) reporting ( pointing or give a salute like a adc or so giving an order or a report to a senior officer)...

It's just my whish list.

For prussian cavalry (very known for scouting...) i think that on march or scouting is better than charging...

Many thank again for your nice reply.

Sincerely yours

Pierre

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Question to Strelet's Prussian question below

I too prefer scouting and marching for Prussian cavavlry over charching, even for hussars.

Christiaan

Landwehr cavalry for me, one of the biggest holes in my collection.

Re: Question to Strelet's Prussian question below

Curaissers, please!!!

Cuirassiers absolutely

in their litewkas or whatever they called them.
Would be nice to see some Landwehr in caps, some in 'British' shakos.
