here's a question for all you GNW experts and uniform buffs out there.
did the Swedish cavalry units recruited during GNW in their German and Baltic territories ever wear the "cuirass"?
could you also let me have the sources where you found the info so i can add them to my library

in Estonia they didnt recruit any cavalry ( only 2 little companies city defence -all german units ) Estonias were at that time serfs and the swedes didnt tust them.Estonians were recruited as defence-militia pataljons and they wore same uniform as did artillery men. But those Germans wore no curasire they wore standart swedish uniforms. There is a good book about those uniforms but sadly in estonian language about uniforms
This book is calld Eesti Mehed sõdades 1000 aastat eesti sõjandust ( Estonian men at War. 1000 years of Estonian military service) There you can see estonians in viking era untill WWII battles. The only bad thing about you is that this book is in estonian language
