Strelets Weekly (Edited by Author)

Have a nice week-end!

Best regards,

Strelets

Re: Strelets Weekly

Thank you Strelets.

More lovely sculpts.

I especially like the chap biting the cartridge.

Strelets news is currently the happiest news to see world wide at present.

Best Wishes for your continued future.

Re: Strelets Weekly

We Napo-philes are being treated again aren't we Danny?! PLUS, it's always a treat when the Friday teaser arrives when it's still Friday in the antipodes :grinning:

These sets of firing/fighting lines are gonna be full of marvellous figs in wonderfully varied poses. The Ottoman foot set (sets?) will be super useful and adaptive—an observation that has 'bin said before, but I'm happy to repeat it! This week's figure is looking apt as a member of the Fellahin, to me, but could easily be Egyptian jannisary/infantry or provincial sekhan.

Thank you Yuri and all at Strelets for another delightful post to brighten our week. All power to your on-going sculpting and production.

Best wishes, James

Re: Strelets Weekly

James, I agree, we are very lucky.

Our host listens to its customers and theirfeedback, and is keeping us well and truly hooked.

I'm thinking that the eastern chaps wouldnt look too out of place in a Maratha army circa 1803...

Wellesly at Assaye anyone?

Cheers
Danny

Re: Strelets Weekly

Will you be resculpting the Napoleon in Egypt ranges or reissuing the older French and British sets ?

Re: Strelets Weekly

Re-issues are more likely.

Re: Strelets Weekly

Good, always liked the French infantry and British light dragoons from this range.

Re: Strelets Weekly

Good news indeed on the reissues.

I stupidly missed the mounted mamelukes first time around.

They would make a very welcome appearance.

...and yes the Light Dragoons were very nice.

I still have the French Hussars languishing unpainted in their boxes.

My original intention was to do a couple of headware swaps and replace mirlitons with Shakos for some, to represent scruffy hussars in campaign dress in Spain, but may leave them now for their oriental adventure....or both...Just all a matter of free time...

Danny

Strelets Weekly Update (Edited by Author)

Some other stuff for those of you tired of Napoleonics:

Have a nice week-end!
Best regards,

Strelets

Re: Strelets Weekly Update

Yuri, Yuri, Yuri, one can never tire of Napoleonics! :slightly_smiling_face:

Nevertheless, that does not detract at all from the delight of seeing more of these lovely dragoons. Excellent poses!

With all of the figures that Strelets are working on it's shaping up to be a big July!

Thanks as always, James

Re: Strelets Weekly Update

Definitely not complaining about the Napoleonics, but these are a real beauty!!

Re: Strelets Weekly Update

Masterpieces. I love so much SSW figures. I hope to have thos in my hands soon.

Re: Strelets Weekly Update

Dear Strelets, I am always happy to see "other stuff".

As the Napoleonic wars were accepted to start until after the treaty of Amiens in 1802, is it too cheeky to say that technically the French and Ottoman sets should be classed as French revolutionary wars sets, with only the Polish in Advance/attack figures being truly napoleonic.

So in reality we haven't seen that many Napoleonic sculpts lately. 😁😁

I'm always happy to see more of those (or anything really).

Best Wishes
Danny
