Welcome to the Strelets Forum. Please feel free to discuss any aspect of 1/72 scale plastic figures, not simply Strelets. If you have any questions about our products then we will answer them here.
We Napo-philes are being treated again aren't we Danny?! PLUS, it's always a treat when the Friday teaser arrives when it's still Friday in the antipodes :grinning:
These sets of firing/fighting lines are gonna be full of marvellous figs in wonderfully varied poses. The Ottoman foot set (sets?) will be super useful and adaptive—an observation that has 'bin said before, but I'm happy to repeat it! This week's figure is looking apt as a member of the Fellahin, to me, but could easily be Egyptian jannisary/infantry or provincial sekhan.
Thank you Yuri and all at Strelets for another delightful post to brighten our week. All power to your on-going sculpting and production.
I stupidly missed the mounted mamelukes first time around.
They would make a very welcome appearance.
...and yes the Light Dragoons were very nice.
I still have the French Hussars languishing unpainted in their boxes.
My original intention was to do a couple of headware swaps and replace mirlitons with Shakos for some, to represent scruffy hussars in campaign dress in Spain, but may leave them now for their oriental adventure....or both...Just all a matter of free time...
Dear Strelets, I am always happy to see "other stuff".
As the Napoleonic wars were accepted to start until after the treaty of Amiens in 1802, is it too cheeky to say that technically the French and Ottoman sets should be classed as French revolutionary wars sets, with only the Polish in Advance/attack figures being truly napoleonic.
So in reality we haven't seen that many Napoleonic sculpts lately. 😁😁
I'm always happy to see more of those (or anything really).
