Re: Friday News

HiJames

They are marvellous indeed. With regard to the first pictures, given there are 7 mounted figures, some of which were on those beastly camels, my thnking is what we see, is what we get, as the camels will take up a fair amount of space.

I'd be extremely happy to get just the pictured group. So many uses.

The standard bearer is top notch too.

I can see my painting queue getting longer, and spare space getting more crowded.

Cant tell from the picture angle, but if the native American has a misfire while loading, he will be having a headache judging by where the muzzle is mounted.

Applause once again to Strelets and their sculptor (s)

Cheers
Danny

Re: Friday News

Dear Danny,

Good points. You are likely correct about the contents and definitely are in your observation that this fine group would be 'enough'—particularly since the figures are all 'individuals'.
(I was greedily hoping that, since there are quite a few foot figures, the chasseurs, officer with telescope and even the local pointing, may have been duplicated. There is a simple way to achieve that, and to duplicate the others too, isn't there? :grinning: )

All the best, James

Dear James

I'm all in favour of double dipping. After all, it's just a wee bit more plastic..

Re: Friday News

...this last figure reminds me the Greek War of Independence of 1821-1829. Lovely figure for plenty of uses...

Re: Friday News

Was thinking the exact same thing....

Re: Friday News

Wow! The ottoman standard bearer looks fantastic, as do all the sculpts but this is very exciting. A creek indian at the bottom maybe? And a great looking set of archaeologists/french command figures. Thanks for the abundance of previews this week!

Re: Friday News

The Indian could possibly be a Creek or Seminole or also an early-mid 19th century Apache.
