I thought I would share this, I saw on facebook people sharing pics of a mystery box purchased direct from Airfix, they looked good value and fun, ie a surprise. But they were Out of stock when I looked, so clicked on the remind me when stock arrives button. Next day I get an email saying back in stock, so I order. So far so good, but since then , in the last three days I have had no less than fifty such reminders that they are back in stock, despite emails to Airfix asking them to stop they keep coming. So has anyone else suffered this ?
Not so far, but there is a section in your "My Account" that deals with stock alerts so maybe cancel it there?
The box itself sounds intriguing, although the multiple e-mails also sound troubling...is this a genuine offer?
If the box does appear, please let us know what it contains Alan!
This is really interesting. I realise that you were seeking an answer to your problem of 'extra' emails, but you have indirectly made many aware of this, I suspect. I am one of those.
They have an appeal; as one who enjoys 'job lots'? Those mentioned on their website mention aircraft and ship kits.
Have they had a version for figures?
Good idea for a pressie for someone whom one thinks might be interested in model kits.
If you visit Airfix there is a choice of five mystery boxes, all offering a substantial saving, and the one`s people have posted on facebook all look to be great value for money, I will let you know what mine contains. Still getting the reminders thick and fast ;-)
Sometimes Emails from vendors contain a link to cancel a subscription, check the small print...
Be aware though that scammers sometimes pose as genuine vendors...
Thanks Ironsides, I have checked and nothing, a few moments ago Airfix replied and are on the case, but they also said, no idea why it is happening , getting a repeat message every couple of hours.
The explanation from Airfix today, I signed up to be notified when the mystery box was back in stock, every time the contents change I get another notification.... that seems odd to me, except I suppose unless you are a habitual mystery box buyer and don`t want to duplicate. But mystery of the mystery box notifications solved.
Wow so their changing the contents 50 times, they must be popular... should still be able to cancel the notification though... they really do need to get their site sorted...
