Waterloo 1815 (Manufacturer.. not the Battle!)

Is it my imagination or have many sets from these guys been out of stock for a while? At least here in the UK?

I hope the company is still ok and its just a case of covid or port/border hold ups causing the lack of stock.

Im not in a mad rush for any of their sets, although there are some I will eventually want to purchase again.
Its just something ive noticed when browsing.

Re: Waterloo 1815 (Manufacturer.. not the Battle!)

Waterloo 1815 by Andrea Pierini will came out very soon with "Custer and 7th US cavalry" on foot at L.B.H. in 1/35 scale. Maybe next in 1/72. He has got a own site.

Re: Waterloo 1815 (Manufacturer.. not the Battle!)

Hm, good question. Here in Germany Kamar and Linear A shops still have some sets stocked but others are no longer listed or marked as "sold out" or "limited stock" (as British Heavy Dragoons or French Line Lancers).

The Waterloo 1815 website is still online and sets can be ordered via their site (including the two mentioned above).

So maybe it's just a delay in the supply chain due to Covid 19.

Re: Waterloo 1815 (Manufacturer.. not the Battle!)

Which reminds me of the old joke about the man getting into a London Taxi "Where to?" Says the driver "Waterloo" he replies
"The station?" Says the driver
Passenger: "Well it's a bit late for the battle!"

😂😂😂
Some of the old jokes are the best!! 👍

Re: Waterloo 1815 (Manufacturer.. not the Battle!)

As already confirmed and many here know Waterloo1815 is still cheerful & productive.
Possibly the described shortage of their products within the UK is just another splendid consequence of the so-called "Brexit"? :hushed:

Re: Waterloo 1815 (Manufacturer.. not the Battle!)

Yep, it could be due to Brexit, but seeing as others are getting their products through (including Strelets), I doubt it.
Some shortages of stuff in the world is down to a shortage of available shipping containers, what with many held up in ports (the knock on affect of various lockdowns), and also the Suez canal being blocked for a while also has put a delay on certain things.
No idea if Waterloo 1815 is affected by those issues, but i know its impacted others.
Either way, I hope the company is fine and well. They make some nice sets, although I hope they stop the scale creep thats occuring. Some sets are getting closer to 25-28mm rather than 20mm-1/72.

As for "so called Brexit" in general.....no way am I getting sucked into a debate on that one!!!!
