It is with much regret that I have to tell you that Jackie Belton died suddenly (heart attack) on Easter Sunday. Jackie was a long-time partner of Mike Gurr and a very good friend of mine and of my wife. Mike helped me for many years as a mechanic and also drove one of my cars (IM Mk1) one year. Jackie accompanied him on many occasions both at race meetings and at the Clubmans dinner-dances and I expect many of you remember her. She was a lot of fun and also an expert in alternative medicine which she put to good use in curing motion sickness for both me and John Drinkwater.
I will really miss Jackie and extend my sincerest condolences to Mike Gurr as I am sure those of you that knew her will do as well.
I have just caught up with the Forum after some days away and we are very sad to read of this. Please give our thoughts and best wishes to Mike; we spent a very pleasant half hour chatting over his BMW m/cycle last October at Silverstone.
