Dot Piper

It is with a heavy heart that I have to write this news.
Sadly Dot passed away at Leighton Hospital on Wednesday 26th November 2025 at around 4pm with her family gathered around her.
Her wishes were not to have a funeral but her family are to have a get together to celebrate her life.

My condolences to all the Piper family. Dot was a lovely lady. An inspiration to many aspiring and owners of narrowboats and barges. She will be missed by many. A great help during our barge buying process, building and running of Elessina.

My condolences to the family and friends.

When I bought my Piper in 2024, I spoke to Dot to obtain information, she was so helpful and imparted her knowledge in a friendly way that didn't make me feel foolish, even though probably most of my questions were very basic.

She will be missed.
