The barge Mary on the Marple Canal at Waterside.
Description: For nearly 20 years the residence of Mr James Goddard, formerly a canal and general carrier. The superstructure has five cabins and a workshop.
This was the description given with the photo - it'll be the Upper Peak Forest Canal at Disley. Waterside is in the Bowaters Factory area. That's another bit of history gone - there's now a housing development there!
