Ref: Narrow boat Kingfisher 410.
After delving into the recesses of the engine department to try and fix an inoperative bilge pump (I have not been there before!) It had not cleared the rain out during the winter. I find it appears to be sitting in a small 'sump' lower than the switch which is on the flat plate above it. This means the switch switches off (due to being higher) before the pump clears the water out of the sump. Is this how it should be?
I would have thought the pump needed to be on the same level as the switch.
