Re: Crimean Turks and British Grenadiers, and now AIP is in the mix
I dont buy many larger figures and to my eye AIP are quite ugly, but I do love the Crimean War and just might be tempted if they look OK. Cant see them on the AIP website so where did you spot them?
I think SR know the view of me and everybody else on finishing their CW range :-)
Re: Crimean Turks and British Grenadiers, and now AIP is in the mix 54mm
I didn't know about AIP either:ugly or not -are they easy to paint?!
:Helmet kits do the 3 basic British light cavalry types : Bit more fiddly & they are kits. The thing about 54mm 1/32 is you are also in the model soldier vs toy soldier arena: you have to balance accuracy/detail over what the figures are intended to represent.
Look at W Britains etc soldiers of period -nice to look at/ handpainted etc but they are toy soldier style.
Is there a mounted Russianinfantry/artillery officer in the Strelets/other CW ranges or have I missed something?
