Welcome to the Strelets Forum.
Please feel free to discuss any aspect of 1/72 scale plastic figures, not simply Strelets.
If you have any questions about our products then we will answer them here.
I just received my 0051 Crimean Russian General Staff & Hospital and they are beautifully animated as always. The single set has 43 figures (including the 3 guys carrying each other and the table and the horses). It is quite an awesome set carrying many themes - religeous, staffs, hospital staffs and nurses, stretcher bearers, wounded, music and dancing, mounted and foot. It is one of the most comprehensive sets of staffs ever !!! Can't wait to see the sister set for the allies.
Aaaaand, if you buy in the U.S. from either Toy Soldier H.Q., or Michigan Toy Soldiers (my two favorites), you can buy the single set while supplies last, or the big box set, which is a great value also for 4 sets (hope it's OK to give these guys a plug, as they both have done so much to promote our hobby). Collectors, enthusiasts, and wargamers will not be disappointed with this investment.
Thank you S*R Team for this most fascinating and versatile set.
Dave that was a good effort to release the solo sets as single purchase.Did you see the Mounted Guards Officer (?)with plumed Hat saluting.Or is in a dragoon officer uniform. Over to the forum ...
I don't understand your comments here, but if I had the chance to buy the 0051 Crimean Russian General Staff & Hospital for $15, or the Big Box Set for $40, I would be happy to have a choice. I am happy that my man at TSHQ gave me the choice. 15 years of focused service, Kent is my man. TSHQ always goes above and beyond the obvious to give his custiomers complete satisfaction. And so has Michigan TSC. Zero complaints with either company.
And the S*R Team has given me the best investment for my money in 1/72 Truly Soft Plastic Toy Soldiers.
I have every intention to convey to the toy soldier collectors in the world that this company is awesome, makes nothing less than 1/72 masterpieces in art work, and even in a tough situation, works hard to help it's customers. Thank you to the S*R Team for it's ,masterpieces.
Please elaborate on your opinion, Hank? if I missed your main point. You are my good forum friend, but I am a little confused.
Everyone, please buy the S*R Team's latest sets. They are so cool !!! And I can't wait for the next 3 sets to arrive in the U.S. in the next 3 months.
Happy Collecting !!!
CW Russian Command Set
On the box look at The mounted figure left of the COssack officer in 3rd row.
Guard officer or dragoon ofifcer uniform?
If PSR is any help here, and using the MAA #241 Russian Army of CW, he looks like p.3 "General Officer" in undress uniform. But on the other hand, the other new set 063 are Dragoons. On pp. 38-39 they show 2 other Dragoons looking similar.
But your guess would be better than mine. What do you think ??? Also, what sets do you want for CW to be released next, just for fun ???
Cheers to ya !!!
With the CW Russian Army pretty much complete it must be time to release...
1st. Turkish Infantry (for allah's sake please release them..)thousansd of these in th eCW campaign
2nd. British Guards(only a few battalions in the whole campaign)
3rd. British Light Infantry(mmh...one division if means "Light" and not Rifle(if rifle even less)
4th. French CW Artillery would be "par excellence".(should be first but nobody intends doing them despite same guns etc for Turks and Sardinian...hello ?)
IN FACT WE NEED ALLIED ARTILLERY BADLY.
This whole range is poorly balanced without allied artillery
you are absolutely right!!
Hi Hank & Uwe!
Yes, all would be wonderful. I especially hope to see the under-represented sets like Turks. :-)
And I'd still like to see foot 062 Crimean British Grenadiers to go with the Cavalry. I've always loved those bear-skin hats !!!
Happy Toy Soldier Dreaming!
two sets of Guards. One advancing at the Alma, the other in greatcoats defending the sandbag battery at Inkerman.
