Welcome to the Strelets Forum. Please feel free to discuss any aspect of 1/72 scale plastic figures, not simply Strelets. If you have any questions about our products then we will answer them here.
Definitely of interest to me Alan, thank you. I do recall seeing the masters for the Texas rangers awhile back and now it all makes sense. I wonder if the set will be entirely dismounted or if we get some men in the saddle. Either way I’m very much looking forward to these sets. A very cool niche, and yet another set usable for the Mexican American War which I am always happy to see!
Yeah Strelets. Lovely to see Texas Rangers & Comanches. Hopefully we will also get one day Comancheros & Mexican Bandits and anything having to do with the Mexican American wars.
So perhaps all those early 1830s-1840s looking sculpts we saw earlier this year may be Texas Rangers rather than Seminole Wars Volunteers set 2? I mean some of them look like a Ranger would look at 1840 Plum Creek battle. But I would have assumed more of them would be mounted. So who knows? (well, obviously, Strelets knows, but they aren't confirming anything).
- a decent set of Lakota on foot and another on horseback
- an accurate set of 7th cavalry (no kepis, no swords)
- buffalo soldiers (i.e. 9th or 10th Cavalry)
- native scouts
- North West Mounted Police
- Apaches
