Welcome to the Strelets Forum. Please feel free to discuss any aspect of 1/72 scale plastic figures, not simply Strelets. If you have any questions about our products then we will answer them here.
These look great Strelets!!! It’s a shame that having a 6 month old baby puts an end to my painting days…I will make sure I buy these so that in 20 years time I can sit down and paint them. Along with your Bavarian and Dutch firing lines and grenadier sets…all sitting in my cupboard, looking great, but never to be painted!
You've got a best miniature possible now, congrats!
As to our fellas, don't worry, they will wait for you as long as it will be necessary. Thing is, along with napoleonics, this period is worth painting more than any other.
Best regards,

Obviously, "the best period to paint" relies on personal taste.
I would agree with our host, though. Napoleonics, with its dazzling array of colourful uniforms, is an obvious choice. The WSS (& "my" period - the SYW which is not very different) has an elegance & simplicity....& tricornes!!
I do paint WW2 but the usual drab uniforms aren't appealing. Colonial periods have the issue of needing masses of tribal warriors. One Zulu is great to paint. Two hundred in identical clothing is not.
Ancients are OK in my opinion. Shield patterns are often a welcome challenge.
