Welcome to the Strelets Forum. Please feel free to discuss any aspect of 1/72 scale plastic figures, not simply Strelets. If you have any questions about our products then we will answer them here.
While Napoleonics are outside my normal range of collecting, sometimes a set comes along that may have uses in other areas. This might be one of those sets.
I will continue to observe the contents as they are revealed.
Thanks for the beautiful sets. I have one recommendation. If you are looking to continue Napolean's Egyptian campaign can you please consider doing: dismounted Mameluks & Mameluke Cavalry and Ottoman artillery, infantry & Cavalry (a set of each) as the Ottomans were also a major adversary to Napolean in Egypt. Thanks
Strelets has produced one set of Mameluke cavalry, which unfortunately I did not follow my rule of "Buy it when you see it, not when you need it", and I missed out on those fine fellows.
Thanks for supporting my humble suggestion. I think that for us to enjoy Napolean's French troops in the Egyptian Campaign we require soldiers from his adversaries for our diorama.
Other examples of periods where we require adversaries are re the 1812 War (only 1 set of Americans), Polish Soviet War (only 1 set of Polish) & the RIF War (not even one set of Spanish). A couple of sets from these missing nationalities will fill a big sad gap in our beloved hobby.
Finally, I also refer to the missing Mexicans & Comanches re the Western period.
Might have to start picking up some of the older Egyptian sets… and it also looks like the Seminoles will have some mounted reinforcements. Both sets will be much appreciated!
