Re: Duke's Reinforcements

Most excellent. I don't know what they are but they look nice.

Duke is my dog's name. I had no idea he was getting reinforcements.

Thanks for showing the photos.

Re: Duke's Reinforcements

The full set of the light infantry at attention, looking grand with plenty of interesting variation and variety. Really useful for some second line and other poses in wargame units and dioramas.
Thank you and best wishes, James

Re: Duke's Reinforcements

I mentioned this before but probably too long after posting to have been noticed, but the officer's hat should be worn 'fore and aft' and not in-line with the shoulders - British officers stopped wearing their hats in this fashion in 1800. Sorry to sound pedantic but this set would be much improved by this correction.

Re: Duke's Reinforcements

Darn, I was hoping to see the last poses of the early 19th century militia you've been showing recently. Is that really a second set of Seminole War militia?

I like that the lesser-known Indian conflicts are getting covered (like Tecumseh and the Seminoles). You guys are great at those sets.

I hope to see more conflicts with Native Americans covered too.

I would like to see the Creek War 1813 - 1814.
I would need Tennessee Militia (would need a Davy Crockett, though he only was involved in 1813, not the Battle of Horseshoe Bend in 1814)
Would need an Andrew Jackson and Chief Menawa for the battle of Horseshoe Bend
And the 39th US Infantry storming the log breastworks
And of course, Creek Warriors

But if you're doing War of 1812, then I'm still needing 93rd Sutherland Highlanders (wearing tartan trews (trousers) and pork pie-shaped bonnets) to attack line Jackson.

But then my Jackson (from the above Creek War set) could be there too, and the 39th US Infantry (from the above Creek War set) could stand in for the 7th US Infantry (the Cottonbailers). Same uniform, and also with the Belgian "tombstone" shako.

Or how about something for the Comanche conflicts in the 1830s and 1840s
Texas Rangers and US Dragoons (mounted and foot, these could be used in the Mexican War too)
Comanche warriors (mounted and foot)

Thanks for listening to my ramblings...again!

Re: Duke's Reinforcements

Grazie

Re: Duke's Reinforcements

Lots of great ideas here Arlin that I completely agree with! All very niche but very cool stuff nonetheless. Early-mid 19th century America has lots of colorful conflicts
