As a wargamer at my base, have to say bravo to both Strelets and HaT with their latest 18th Century releases. Finding enough poses to build large formations has been a problem for pre-20th Century scenarios for years, but with the WoSS Bavarians (Strelets) and AWI USA sets (HaT) we have reached a point where efficient formation building has been effortlessly enabled by their skilled sculptors and designers. Having 48 men concentrating on pouring fire into the opposition with three command figures is great in the Strelets set, and for HaT it is amazing to have what can essentially be looked at as four regiments in one, x2 with 24 firing and x2 with 12 marching, including pertinent command for all. I completely agree. And it’s also worth mentioning that HaT just recently announced that they will be doing two sets of Napoleonic Russian infantry. One for the 1808-12 period, and another for 1812-1814. Very exciting news! I’m hoping they pair well with Strelets Jaeger sets.
