Construction equipment is very important for wargames.
Not only for combat engineers, but also civilian contractors often work in warzones.
Warzones often have construction going on, mining particularly has to continue.
So I am always on the lookout for cool stuff to buy to do construction.

Another construction vehicle this time a much smaller truck. This one is mostly plastic, and I don't recognize the design, so I suspect it is Asian or European rather than American.
Still, it's a nice size truck and is sure to find use on my wargame table somewhere.
Since my blog entries are often prepared weeks in advance sometimes they seem a little out of sync with the real world. So this Christmas blog is a little after Christmas but being retired is like living in Christmas season all the time anyway.
Besides it's a lot of work to get this stuff together and I may not have it finished in time for next Christmas.
Trains have been associated with Christmas giving for as long as there have been little boys and trains. Here is a first look at my Santa's Workshop train.
The Santa project is what I call a low priority project. It takes a backseat in time and money to just about everything else. It is the CBI of wargame projects. But I found a nice train for a dollar and that seemed to fit in the price range I was looking for.
