Bat Gyro

https://bunkermeister.blogspot.com/2024/12/bat-gyro.html

Batman is over 75 years old and my Batman collection will soon reflect that whole time frame. I am considering moving Batman back even farther. My theory is that Bruce Wayne is in fact the third or fourth Batman. That there was a Batman in the 1890s, and then his son took over in World War One, fighting German spies in Gotham City. Next a Batman for the Second World War, taking over in about 1938, and finally the Batman we know from the TV series, Millionaire Bruce Wayne.
In each case, Batman has a youthful ward or son who helps him as Robin or some other name, who grows up to become Batman when he is old enough and experienced enough. I think Alfred was the Batman prior to Bruce Wayne.

This Bat Gyro is the first of several new pieces of Bat-equipment that I am fielding.

Hungarian Tank Crews

https://bunkermeister.blogspot.com/2025/01/hungarian-tank-crews.html

The Hungarians fought on the side of the Axis powers in WWII. Until now there were no soft plastic tank crews for their armored vehicles, but Orion has helped us out with this problem.

Now we have a very nice set of them in 1/72nd scale. I got a few of them to crew my HO scale Hungarian armored vehicles.

Hungarian Tanks & Crews

https://bunkermeister.blogspot.com/2025/01/hungarian-tanks-and-crew.html

Orion 1/72nd scale figures deployed with HO scale Hungarian tanks.

I started collecting Roco Minitanks in HO scale with Airfix figures in HO/OO scale in about 1963 or so.
As time went on I continued to have 1/87 scale vehicles and 1/72nd scale figures. So while I know the two scales are different, they have worked for me for650 years and it's a little late to change now!

I hope you enjoy the set up.

Strelets Boer War Artillery

https://bunkermeister.blogspot.com/2025/01/field-howitzer.html

Strelets Boer War Artillery will serve in my American militia. Once long ago it was common for there to be state, county, city, and local militia units. Now they are still around but much fewer and not many that are private.

Just like the Strelets Boer War Infantry these will be American Militia for my War of the Worlds armies.
Even today it is legal in most states, even very restrictive California for private citizens to own functioning black powder artillery. So a private militia could have it's own artillery.

Strelets Boer War Artillery Two Gun Battery

https://bunkermeister.blogspot.com/2025/01/two-gun-battery.html

Krupp exported guns all over the world in the 19th and 20th Centuries. So it would not be unreasonable for a couple of them to turn up just about anywhere.

So these two will be part of my American militia. I have heard suggestions that they could be used for the Great Chaco War, Chinese War Lords, and other small wars and I agree.

Garden Shrine

https://bunkermeister.blogspot.com/2025/01/garden-shrine.html

Check out the fish tank and reptile sections of your local pet store. Sometimes they have interesting terrain that can be decorative additions to a diorama.

This is one such find I made recently.
