North African Italians

I know I’m very late to the game here, but after reading a book recently I decided to start a WWII North Africa project. Naturally the Strelets sets were the way to go and I started out by buying all four of the Italian sets, which just arrived today, and wow! They are fantastic. The detail and anatomy is incredible. I could not be more impressed. Great poses too, especially with the Patrol set. These will be a joy to paint. I haven’t been wowed quite like this in a while so I felt like I had to share, and encourage anyone that’s been on the fence about these sets to get them. I don’t think the PSR pictures do them justice. Anyways, I hope this sculptor is still working on new sets, and I wouldn’t hate to see the Italian faction gain some additional sets in the future.

Re: North African Italians

They're primed and my next set to go so I'm eager now and echo they're fantastic sculpting

Re: North African Italians

Those sets are great, as are the DAK, 8th Army Australians and French Foreign Legion sets. Strelets has made a nice contribution to the WW2 Desert War theater, especially with the FFL sets.

Re: North African Italians

It is just so regrettable that the FFL set is no longer available anywhere. The heavy weapons sets I have spotted recently, but the other set is sold out everywhere.

Re: North African Italians

Strelets' contribution to WW2 North African campaign is fabulous and we will always be grateful for it. Hopefully in the near future Strelets consider doing some Italian Colonial troops and Vichy troops in North Africa and in the Levant.

Re: North African Italians

Huge gaps filled at least in part , I bought and painted them all .

Re: North African Italians

I agree wholeheartedly about the Mediterranean theatre figures. It has opened up a whole new category for me.

I would like to second George’s comments for colonial troops. And while we’re at it I am sure there are opportunities for additional Indian troops.

Re: North African Italians & Moroccan Goumiers

Totally agree, Asher. North Africa has such a rich history. This set below (Moroccan Goumiers) are a super well sculpted and must have set for North Africa. I've bought several to man my U.S. Half Tracks and fight forts in the desert. Very fun!
