Welcome to the Strelets Forum.
Please feel free to discuss any aspect of 1/72 scale plastic figures, not simply Strelets.
If you have any questions about our products then we will answer them here.
I was very pleased to receive, a few days ago, several boxes each of the new sets from Strelets: 240 French Gardes du Corps and 256 British Dragoons. I ordered these through Drum and Flag, and as usual their service was prompt and excellent.
Both of the new sets are quite superb, the sculpting of the mounted Gardes and Dragoons in each case of a very high quality. Both sets also include officer figures who lend themselves well to more senior 'commander' roles. The French Marshal with his baton and very wide cuffs will make an ideal Villeroi or Vendome perhaps, mounted on a standing horse probably. And the British dragoon officer with his telescope is a work of art.
A 'Well Done!' to Strelets in managing to release these sets from a war zone. May we hope and pray that you stay safe...and keep these sets coming!!:+1:
Thanks for posting this Minuteman. I looked on this UK site and have saved it on my iPad. (BTW he is already sold out of the Garde du Corps and British Dragoon sets you mention, but he does have photos of them in their plastic release sets.) And as a bonus he has all the forthcoming WSS sets from Strelets listed as ‘Future Release’ as well as a new Redbox Jacobite Rebellion set of British artillery with a very nice photo of this set with guns in plastic,,,,,also as a future release.
I’m in the USA and would like to know when anyone sees these available in the US please.
I think I bought the last two Garde Du Corps from D&F.
I echo all the comments above about the suppliers great service and high quality of the figures.
Thank you everyone!
I ordered mine from Michigan Toy Soldiers and though it takes a while for them to receive their shipment I know that they will eventually arrive.
Received my sets last week from drum and flag. The quality is again absolutely superb, particularly the French. They are not part of my plans as they weren’t at Blenheim, but they are so good they’ve jumped to the front of my painting queue anyway!
Well done Strelets!
Today there is an excellent review on the Plastic Soldier Review web site - with photos - of the 240 set French Garde du Corps (WSS) in red plastic for the riders and gray for the horses.
Agree PSR review is great, looking at Robert Hall plates you could do all 4 companies if the Garde du Corps
1st Compagnie ecossaise & Compagnie francoise 1st , 2nd & 3rd
all companies have different colours for shabraques & bandoliers
so you could need at least 4 sets
well done Strelets Team in difficult times , stay safe
cheers Old John
