This contribution is a fine display of these famous units of Louis XIV's Guard, depicted here in full charge. A great display of painting, modelling and basing. You have done a very skilful job in painting the extensively gold-laced uniform worn by these guardsmen, and also in particular in painting the complicated design on the Regimental flag. Well done Thomas!
May I echo Marks comments and congratulations to Thomas. A painstaking paint job that almost tempts me to have a go at this period. It's contributions to the forum like these that shows you what can be done and keeps complacency at bay. Thank you.
Oh and the lawn needs cutting!
Brilliant Thomas, museum quality I would say!!
Nice detail on the uniforms & the horses are nice & realistic too in colour & shading.
All well based as well.
Stunning work. 👍👍
Thomas, I can only add myself to this list of compliments in an enthusiastic way... really a master's job. BRAVO !!
Superbe peinture pour une belle unité
Vive le Roi !
Agreeeeeed x 5.
Marvellous looking unit. I am especially impressed with your painting of the flag and the lines of gold on the drummer's coat. Superb all round.
Yes agreed great work
Superb painting, you have breathed life into these figures.
This period has been massively overlooked until Stretlets began focussing on it.
It has all the splendours of the Napoleonics along with the variety of units.
