Any Interest?

Just wondering, would anybody be interested in seeing Strelets go for a command set for their Republican Roman Mini line (STRM077-80, 87-90, 102, etc.) at some point in the distant future? Italeri's old set (#6021) provides a few useful options, but I was thinking of something that provided a group of centurions/musicians/standard bearers/etc. on the main sprues, with the individual sprue being reserved for legendary characters such as Labienus, Pompey, and of course Gaius Julius Caesar himself while on campaign.

Re: Any Interest?

In short, yes!

Re: Any Interest?

Absolutely.

Re: Any Interest?

Why not, sure.

Re: Any Interest?

Although it is recently rather Linear-A who extensively deals with ancient subject areas, an expansion of the corresponding Strelets ranges would be most welcome.
Linear-A sets are quite good & innovative, but imho there is still plenty of room for figures in Strelets (meanwhile) "classic" set compositions (standard & mini range).
Imperial Romans are the obvious no-brainer here and a logical starting point, one needs large quantities & wide variety to cover numerous possible conflicts & theatres.

It would be most promising if Strelets reworked & expanded their Roman range in the style of their beautiful 2017 Auxiliaries. :relaxed:

So clearly another yes here.

According to the original request, of course it should read Republican & Imperial Romans ...

Re: Any Interest?

Dear 'Babylonian',

There is the second large set of Romans in Strelets' plans ((08). It would be great if it had an expanded range of command figures (beyond the wonderful ones that were in 907).

In answer to a query that I had about it years ago Strelets mentioned that they were considering a few different options for it. I cannot recall exactly what they were, but have some recollection of command and even triumph being options?!

Regards,

James
