Trying to build up my American side - so just wondering which Napoleonic sets could be used (or are as closest to) American Regular Army and Cavalry uniforms? For example, could Strelets Saxon Garde du Corps set double as US Light Dragoons?
Re: Napoleonic sets used for American in War of 1812?
From a quick look at the pictures I'd say no. The US Light Dragoons had a white horsehair mane on the helmet, Saxon Garde du Corps had a comb similar to the British Life Guards or French Carabiniers. British Heavy Dragoons (Hat or Waterloo 1815) may to be a better starting point. Wurttemberg Leib Chevaulegers would be ideal, but have not been done in plastic, afaik.

I've read on other threads that Napoleonic Dutch Infantry can pass as U.S. Regulars, though I'm not sure how much conversion work would need to be done.
