Set M091 Status?

Hello! Hope everyone is as happy and healthy as possible. I would first like to applaud Strelets for all of their recent offerings across the 1700-1945 spectrum of eras, well done! Especially love the Napoleonic At Attention and Shoulder Arms sets, they look so nice and organized. Sets that feature 36+ figures working together efficiently make me very happy, and there is no question these offerings add to that two decade long tradition which Strelets dominates.

At the risk of sounding ungrateful for these offerings, I was curious as to the current status of the previously listed set M091, "Caesar Army in Battle II." Does the mould for these exist? Are they still planning to be introduced to the collection at some point or has the idea been retired? Caesar's campaigns are of course endlessly entertaining even for a non-Roman enthusiast such as myself, so it seems like an interesting idea.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Sincerely,
TheBabylonian109

P.S.- For those who do not know and have an interest in Caesar's campaigns, there are two separate Youtube channels who are producing 15-20 minute documentaries on different aspects of these campaigns. The first is called 'Kings & Generals' and the second is 'History Marche.' The visuals done by both are excellent and use many stories from the original Classical sources to bring the era to life.

Re: Set M091 Status?

A new set of Caesar's Roman legionaries would be extremely interesting, perhaps with Caesar himself cheering on his men, there are many battles to play in both doirami and wargames.

Re: Set M091 Status?

Those are good channels Babylonian. I also support requests for more Romans. For those of you interested, there is an upcoming German TV series on Netflix (starting October 23) based on the story of Varus and Arminius. This may stimulate a renewed interest in this era, and boost sales for both Strelets and Linear-A...so I too hope Strelets will reissue previous sets like the Big Box Roman set 907 (or at least only the unique figures from this Big Box), and Linear-A rush out release of sets 017 and 018!

Re: Set M091 Status?

Dear TheBabylonian109,

neither molds nor master models exist for this set yet.
We can't say at this stage when we will start this line.
Please, be guided accordingly.

Best regards,

Strelets

You may want to take a look at this new find from the Varus battlefield a reconstruction of the earlier type of Lorica Segmentata, it has no lower shoulder guards, the buckled girdle plated were already known from previous finds from the area, of course if you go for mail its not a problem...
