Dear zulu´s 1000 of them, you won´t have to wait certainly many weeks to see new desert miniatures, when you keep bugging us so intensely. You remember me more and more on the musical Little shop of horrors with Audrey and her desire: Feed me, feed me ...
There are passed only 12 hours since your beloved LRDG-set was presented. You should been proud and not complaning.... Sorry, but you painting-argument is so weak and false, that I had write these lines. When did we see anything painted from you?
Obviously British humour is lost on you, or does not translate, so take it from me my post was entirely in jest. But seeing as you used my Benno`s name that goes some way to explaining it, as I have found over the years bennos to be largely populated by a handful of humourless moaners, but using my Bennos name here says so much about you and your mindset. Next time I post something most find amusing ether smile like most or keep your fingers away from the keyboard, I have no time for your hate or spite.

A little harsh, perhaps? I have been on Bennos for a while and I rarely moan...well, not due to the content of Bennos anyway. Every Forum has its pros and cons, and let us simply be thankful that there are so many places on the Web to discuss our hobby ands to view/review the output of manufacturers and fellow modellers.

Have a good weekend...dry, deserty or otherwise.:slightly_smiling_face:

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

As a fellow Brit let me tell you "most" don't find you funny at all. You seem to have no self-awareness about just how an irritating nuisance you appear with your constant spamming of the same thing in numerous threads across various forums on your narrow pet subjects - colonised Africa mostly. And when you're not doing that you repeatedly attempt to hi-jack unrelated threads like this with the same trash. It's reached such a point that I feel sad Strelets caved in to your antics and sincerely hope the LRDG sells so badly they never touch anything similar again. JUST STOP IT MAN

"Buckingham"

@Truthsayer. Thank you very much. That's exactly how I see it (... "him"). BTW, Hagen Miniatures was insulted by this creature in such a way that they decided to prevent him from ordering from their site (was a Hagen Miniatures message on Benno's...! Don't know whether one could still find it ...). Of course, the creature will deny everything, continue insulting everyone who tells the facts about him, and mobilize the cronies who are of his sort ...

@Sansovino. Was kümmert's die Ärsche?

Re: "Buckingham"

Well no surprises there, the answer is simple, don`t read my posts, if you find they get under your skin, that is good advice please take it, then we will never have to communicate again, like I said simple. PS The LRDG set(s) are going to be great sellers of that I have no doubt. PPS The worst sellers ever were the Russian Turkish war range, Mr Kunz ,so close to the perfect pseudonym for you by the way. Truthsayer being blunt and rude is not telling the truth , it is being blunt and rude, saying it while hiding behind a pseudonym is being rude and cowardly.

Re: "Buckingham"

@Truthsayer said:: about "Buckingham"::::

Well said. Bravo!

Trottel!

Re: "Buckingham"

User Master Kunz is banned on this forum for personal insults.

Strelets

Re: "Buckingham"

Thank you for stopping the above 'gentleman' form polluting this forum with his Anglophobic bile.

Any chance of removing this Germanic garbage as terms such as 'English pig' are grossly offensive.I cannot see why Mr. Buckingham's tongue in cheek comments have received such a vitriolic response from certain Napoleonic modellers.

PS
1. I like the LRDG figures and will get some as they are so different from the usual range of figures.
2. Any chance of having some Iberian Napoleonic subjects for a change rather than all those Central European subjects?

Re: "Buckingham"

Sorry RCD,

we fully agree, that these comments are, indeed, below any standard. They are left here solely to display the reason why this user was banned from the forum.
For over 10 years of this forum's existence, that's the first real person (not bot), that was banned here, so quite an extraordinary event for us, hence, in our opinion, some clarification is required.

As to the Peninsular theater, we don't have such plans at the moment.

Best regards,

Strelets

Re: "Buckingham"

I have no problem with them being left up, the forum is a nice place to chat and has been for a long time now, leaving it up gives a clear marker as to where the bar is set.

Re: "Buckingham"

RCD , Master Kunz is Hank , H.F.T.G.H , head for the guns etc, I am both used to and unbothered by his rants , he will be back in another guise here at some point, when banned from the Hat forum years ago he "jumped the fence" as he called it, I had not picked him up on Benno`s so he cannot be posting much if at all. I did not bother to translate his German , having picked out a couple of words, if I had it would only serve to encourage him,and that is the last thing anyone would want to do.

Re: "Buckingham"

I am a Napoleonic Modeller and i can honestly say that Alan does not bother me with his comments about the desert theatre one bit, in fact they raise a smile with me. Its harmless tongue in cheek humour as mentioned.
I also see no problem whatsoever with someone being passionate about their chosen subject. It would be a boring world indeed if we all did, liked and behaived the same.
As for the Anglophobic/Racist remarks, all i can say is they are totally uncalled for and I as a Brit, found them childish rather than insulting. School playground behaiviour.
The LRDG will sell well, Strelets arent stupid, they wouldnt of gone to the trouble of making them if they had doubts, they are a business afterall and need to make money.
It may not be what im after, but fair play to those who do want it.

Now, about those Waterloo Allied contingents in square......😁

Dear Buckingham,
I am very surprised what happened yesterday. I refuse strictly your malicious hate-assumption on my remarks. Hateful were certainly Master Kunz posts. Your humour is not funny for many and often based to mock others or to present theirs wishes as redundant. Simply, you don't have to devalue other positions and wishes to advance your own, which is one of your unpleasant tactics.

And Benno´s is a precious vivid forum for dialogues contrary to your old men´s club attitude - presumably the reason why you blame now this forum, which you have flooded over years mostly with repetitive and monothematic advertising texts for Hät - by the way before you have discovered your new love for Strelets.

My peace-proposal: Stop your mocking rhetorics about others wishes and we won´t have any conflicts. The internet should been wide enough for the coexistence of different interests.

Sansovino , I can only repeat myself ,there is never ever mocking ,malice or any negativity about others wishes in my posts...ever, as I explained my comments are always tongue in cheek as our host and others have clearly stated and understand above. My posts are a true reflection of my personality in life, I see humour in most situations first, it maybe a Brit thing, but sorry I am a Brit,so that like me that is not going to change, so if what I say makes your blood boil don`t read my posts, once again that simple. This whole sorry episode started with your post having a go at me, and it`s not for the first time. I am here for the love of little plastic guys I am passionate about them, the largest part of my collection painted are Napoleonic's with every regiment at Waterloo represented by at least 24 figures , of all the armies present, the photo`s of them were on the old Hat forum for all to see, as I type my study if filled wall to wall on books covering the Napoleonic wars, probably at a ratio of 3 to one over all other subjects combined, far from being a anti Napoleonic's I am a big fan, but my armies are complete. My Desert armies 1940/43 are not. I have waited and campaigned here and anywhere I can get manufacturers to listen for twenty years , never throwing my toys from the pram, and never behaving in an anti social way to my peers, however I more than capable of dealing with those who behave in an anti social way to me. The problem is quite clear YOU do not get my humour, so to repeat myself again, don`t read my posts, simple.

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

Minuteman
These are some very good looking Napoleonics!

There are many sets which Strelets could make for this hugely-popular period, but let's be realistic about what is possible. An emphasis on more Prussian cavalry sets 'In Advance', some more Russian infantry (eg: 'Firing Line', 'In Attack' and 'Russian Jaeger Firing Line/Skirmishing'), and perhaps a good set of Russian 1812 dragoons 'In Advance' would suit me well.

Have a good weekend.:relaxed:
High hope for this post...

Hi,
Superb Bavarian marching figures as great sculpt for the Russian. As a general feedback, I am buying marching and advancing but not any standing, at ease, etc... boxes.
As quoted, I am looking forward to spent on some action figures.
I hope this is helping to plan your future project.
Kind regards
CPN

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

Very nice figures. 👍

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

Dear Strelets,

I was slow to get back to the forum--thank you so much for these wonderful masters!

Just a few more Russians in active poses and then you can throw Alan some more desert tidbits, before coming back for more Napoleonics...!

Ah, the problems that you have with so many demanding children to satisfy!! Actually, I think that we all appreciate the fine sculpting of your marvellous figures and your steady rate of production, whether the figures are in 'our' period or not.

All power to you!

Thank you again, James

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

Marvellous nap. Bavarians and Russians, these are exactly the kind of subjects the hobby needs. :+1:
But I would also be much more interested in further marching, attacking and firing lines for main & essential belligerents (France, Russia, Austria-Hungary, Prussia, Poland, Bavaria & Württemberg ...).

The Buckingham dilemma is still based on the completely absurd misconception that this forum or even the whole hobby is somehow "british" (or better put "english") in character.
This is of course nothing more than self-constructed wishful thinking and could not be further from reality.
Unfortunately, a few people are expressing themselves in an increasingly confident tone which requires the vast non-british majority to take "british" manners and attitudes for granted.
In fact I've been trying to ignore Alan's drivel for some time now.
This is, unfortunately, almost impossible as he undermines almost every thread with mainly irrelevant hecklings and thus often prevents a reasonable exchange of ideas.

To be honest, he is the only one who finds his own "humour" amusing and his "lobbying" is nothing but impertinent spamming. :smirk:

A good number of enthusiasts fervently hope that this is not a development desired & encouraged by the Strelets team?

I'm reading here from the beginning for many years now, and it would be very sad if this great place would go the same way as other hobby forums that have been destroyed by chauvinistic quarrels.

Live life in peace...and paint figs.

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

I am almost finished painting the last boxes of Russians. I bought 7 total for the core of a Russian army. I am really enjoying these figures. Wonderful work. I would love to get some firing line boxes and some attack poses of Russian Infantry. Jagers skirmishing and artillery. I would love Russian artillery "in Defense - or Melee" to fight the Saxon Cav!

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

Thank you for these Bavarian figurines so long forgotten by other manufacturers.
The marching soldiers are a void which is finally filled. Can we expect their sale before the end of the year?

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

I'd certainly like to see more of the North America theatre of the Napoleonic Wars (War of 1812-14)

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

Yes, more Bavarians!!!!

What about more Austrians and some Württembergers?

And talking about the Italian campaign of 1799, have you ever thought about some Russians for General Suvorov?

Thanks in advance,

Ale

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

Dear Alessandro,

A great idea about the early (French Revolutionary Wars) Russians (infantry, hussars and artillery would be grand)—but once the late Napoleonic Russians are completed! I wonder, perhaps, if this is one for Redbox to complement the lovely musketeers, jagers, grenadiers and guard/grenadiers that they released last year?

On the other hand, is this a bit too niche? It is simply a matter of using existing figures for the Seven Year's War (esp. Prussians?). I have purchased some Austrians to use as Sardinians—a perfect fit. Actually, producing more figures for the Austrian Succession/Seven Year's War may be a better bet? Lots of interesting troop types that could be produced to fill this gaping hole in the 1/72 market and figures that would have great potential for conversion and adaptation. I think that a good friend on this forum mentions this, on the odd occasion?!

Regards, James

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

Of course, I am mixing up hats later known as bicornes and tricornes aren't I?
Sorry!

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

Thanks for the great pictures of the upcoming Napoleonic they look great. I will also be buying the the desert sets as well.

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

Dear James,

You're right too, Prussians can be used as Russian 1799 fusiliers, maybe by using the small mitre caps.

Let's see what will be Strelet's plans for the future ;)

Cheers,
Ale

Re: It's Friday: too long without Napoleonics

Hi

welcome the high quality new figures, particularly the new Bavarians.

I would look forward to some Hungarian Hussars.

If Strelets are focusing on the Central European powers, I dont believe any other manufacturer has covered that important part of the Austro-Hungarian army and they would support the recent Austrian infantry sets

pity bout the spat at the start of this post, lets keep this forum civilised and welcoming to all nationalities please
