Welcome to the Strelets Forum. Please feel free to discuss any aspect of 1/72 scale plastic figures, not simply Strelets. If you have any questions about our products then we will answer them here.
A brief post from Yevgen which perhaps only needs a question mark against the title..."?"
But on the other hand, we do get a flavour of what is coming from the Friday posts.
I think for my money I'd rather wait and see. Somehow, 'knowing' that a set is in the pipeline and then finding that it is not going to be made this year...or perhaps next year...or in the case of some companies, (n)ever, is just too disappointing.
we've got no clue when they will come out, as they've been sitting for over a month in Dover awaiting clearance.
At first, import compliance clerk requested them to be tested for toys' safety act, adopted in the EU in 2009. Whilst fully compliant for chemicals transfer, flammability, mechanical characteristics, it turned out, that a sign that is on the boxes, prohibiting them for kids 0-5 years shall show 0-3 years only and there should be also our postal address on the box.
Since these items pose a great danger to the would-be customers, they should be rectified before the products will be put into circulation, however they haven't yet allowed access to the goods to do that.

Dear Strelets,
If you are able to advise on a contact in UK Customs it may be possible to help. This sounds like a case of UK Regulation gone mad. A few well chosen words from a UK resident along the lines of 'trade, post Brexit, what are you doing to facilitate this....?' may just help. Please let me know.
I wondered why they were taking so long to appear in places like Hannants.
Its not long now until the UK is totally out of the EU. I think our government trade department & customs officials etc need to get a grip......fast!
Its boxes of toy plastic soldiers for christ sakes.
With all whats going on currently and with what is on our nations horizon, does it really matter if the boxes arent quite up to spec??!! Or wrong over some silly little technicality??
So what if the box shows not suitable for kids from 0-5 instead of 0-3, id of thought that would be absolutely fine seeing as it shows Strelets being extra careful with the target age group.
And as for a postal address, why is that so important?? Theres the internet for contacting people now!!!
If our lot are going get hung up on nonsense like that, I can see it being chaos at our borders and ports come the end of the year.
thank you very much for your suggested assistance.
The case is handled by Kent Imports | Trading Standards | Public Protection | Environment, Planning & Enforcement | Kent County Council | whoever they may be. We guess, they are not part of the customs.
Anyway, once again, thank you very much for your kind offer of help but, quite honestly, we think that persuasion is not something that they will take, hence we aren't asking you about it.
Could you please give us an idea of status of shipment to your North American distributors/vendors, and (hopeful-all-goes-well) approximate arrival date?
Very little has reached the market from anyone, Strelets, Orion, or Hat . I am waiting to buy sets from them all, I hope they all appear at the same time, at least then one postage cost.
Dear Strelets Team,
thanks very much for your information. Even if they are not brilliant, we got at least an idea what's going on. That is - imho - a nice way to communicate with customers. Something other manufacturers did not do at all. So thanks again, keep up the good work and, like many others, I safe money to spend on your new sets.
Dear Strelets,
are your sets available in Ukrainian or Russian suppliers?
We could buy them via e-bay, we can not wait for ever, we need strelets now!!!

Patience, dear Sir. Believe it of not, there is more to life than plastic soldiers.
I suspect that there will be a a Tsunami wave of new sets that all arrive at the same time, having all been released from Customs officials simultaneously. Save your money for that special day!
No worries, still plenty of fine sets in the catalog to order! Perhaps this is a good time to order more of the huge strelets offerings. There are whole ranges of Strelets I haven't purchased yet. But I am thinking about.
Patience is the only choice in this weird year. Stay safe first.
Hello just got the new Hannibal set from linearA they are very good. But I guess I will have to be careful with the box as it says 0-5 on it and has no postal address
"Meanwhile does anyone know the best way to remove a 1/72 plastic figure from the nostril?"
Dunno about the nostril prob, but I once had to tell my ophthalmist that I had a cataphract in my right eye. He said "Don't you mean 'cataract'?" I said "No; I was painting some Parthians and I had a bit of an accident..."
