Re: News from Waterloo 1815 . 7 cavalry

The masters look nice. So far to make up my collection for "The Battle of the Little Big Horn", or "Custers Last Stand" or "Last Stand Hill", plus Major Reno's Skirmish Line, I have been lucky enough to be able to find the following three sets, all of which are exactly the same color, in soft plastic and each with unique offerings.

For example, The Strelets Wild West US Cavalry all wear Indian Wars uniforms including Stetson style hats which look campaign worn, and are armed with carbines and pistols, 3 troopers of who are firing from their saddles while mounted. A really nice touch! You also get an Indian Scout. The Strelets ACW Skirmishing Cavalry have many nice dismounted poses for battling and a commander looking through binoculars while mounted. And nice horse poses just standing or trying to escape while being held by one trooper. Good for recreating Major Reno's skirmish line. And the Airfix set has a great casualty horse for hiding behind for protection and also a nice rearing up horse, plus some additional trooper poses wearing kepis.

I've also done some head swops (Swoppet style conversions) putting kepi clad heads onto some Strelets troopers. They match perfectly and give you additional poses.

There are other Last Stand Custer sets out there, but these are so far my favorites.

Here are PSR Links to the sets I have so far collected:

They look good in 1/32, I'm impressed by the sculpting of the revolvers.
