Those who look at Bennos or follow Fire at Will's blog will have noticed the trio of Soldatski units that he has produced and posted recently, apparently made up of the 'extra' figures that Strelets have added over the years to many sets.

To produce whole units (and fairly large ones at that) from these 'spare' figures is quite an achievement. They are well painted, and with a variety of weaponry and suitably large banners they definitely look the part. Quite inspiring.

Agreed, and a truly prodigious output as well.

I also liked his recent Persian Kardaces and their splendid shields.

They are a fine sight, even though it's not my period or area of interest I enjoyed seeing those splendid looking troops. I think the Streltsi figures look terrific too, it makes me wonder how I could possibly complain about receiving them as a bonus. Although I do love the bonus civilians we've been seeing lately.
