Welcome to the Strelets Forum. Please feel free to discuss any aspect of 1/72 scale plastic figures, not simply Strelets. If you have any questions about our products then we will answer them here.
From an historical point of view, I think that the main problem is that they are not needed for the WoSS. The main western European combatants (France, England, Holland, Denmark, Austria, Spain) had dropped the pike as a battlefield weapon by the time of Blenheim (1704).
So although the masters that Strelets showed us a while ago did look nice, they are not required for WoSS armies.
French Pikemen with breastplates and broad brimmed hats do feature in the wars of the period immediately before the WoSS (League of Augsburg.) ie: 1690s.
Pikemen also remain important in the Great Northern War, especially in the Swedish army of the period (1700-20)
