The New York National Guard from about 1870 to about 1880 or so looked very much like the US Army during the American Civil War but wearing different colored uniforms. Their uniforms were also a little fancier.

So I am using some Strelets French Crimean War Artillery as New York National Guard. I still need to get some more infantry and a few miscellaneous figures, then paint them. They likely will serve in my War of the Worlds late 19th Century US Army.
