Re: Heading for a week-end

Bavarians always welcome 🤩🤩

Re: Heading for a week-end

I'm getting bemused by the civilians, I would love to know how you intend to issue them. Are they definitely going to replace the streltsi? Are they going to be issued one pose per set as was done with the streltsi? Will there be more than one civilian pose in a set? Will the civilians match up with the era of the set or be from a different time period? Alternatively, are you intending to issue a completely new set of early 19th century civilians?

My preferred answers to those questions are that I would like to see the streltsi finished, I think they have run their course now. I would like to see a couple of civilian figures who are contemporaneous to the soldiers in the set in each new set. My reasoning is that it would encourage people who are collecting in a certain era to go ahead and buy a set in a positive way. For me, although the inclusion of streltsi never stopped me buying a set, it did nothing to clinch the purchase. I bought sets in spite of the streltsi rather than because of them. In contrast a couple of good contemporary civilians might be the little extra that would make me buy a set that I was humming and haing about.

Worth visiting nearly every day!
Lovely Bavarians at rest. isn’t it kind of that handsome gentleman to take Mrs Frankenstein for a walk?!
For shame James. She's probably his valentine. I agree the Bavarians are looking good

Ssshhh... That's young Hans Baumholder trying to avoid conscripting.

Re: Heading for a week-end

I love the promenading couple; looks like I might be getting my first set of Bavarians.

I do sometimes buy a set to get one or two figures if I want the figure enough, so I'm happy to get these civilians however they come. I notice though that there are some guys on Benno's who are really hoping that these civilians will be released in a dedicated set.

Re: Heading for a week-end

Yes there is a lot of speculation as to how they will be delivered and opinions on how they should be ideally released. I've put in my contribution on this debate earlier in this thread and in another thread. Unfortunately, Strelets seem to be being a bit tight lipped about this and have so far not responded to my direct questions. All part of the fun I suppose but I'm finding it a bit frustrating. I expect there are also people who never wanted the bonus Streltsi and don't want civilians at all and would prefer more poses in the set.
