Re: Some Questions for strelets

Thank you for the reply. In the meantime I still have 267 strelets sets on sprue, some of them double. There are very few strelets sets that I do not own, so I have the rare set 071 twice and other rare sets, so I always try to buy the new releases as they become available. carry on with these fantastic sets.

Re: Some Questions for strelets

I wonder which sets are most in demand for a re-issue? A while ago I wanted the first set of Boer infantry and could not get it for love nor money and had resigned myself to never owning it. Very surprised to see it re-issued and snapped it up toute suite. Didn't buy it originally as I already have Boers in 15mm metal and only decided it would be useful when I thought it could be useful as a basis for VBCW conversions. As a slight aside I have used Redbox's Royal Marine Light Infantry as BUF, again didn't buy them initially and then managed to find some by chance.

I will certainly buy some of the medieval mi!itia sets as the pikemen/spearman are such useful figures.

Re: Some Questions for strelets

Always keep an eye on internet, (ebay, catiwiki, model stores...etc) sometimes sets will come up at the moment you dont expect it. On the moment i hava an eye on a set i miss thats online.... but its too expensive on the moment ;)

Re: Some Questions for strelets

Just wanted to give an example.
Recently new ww1 french soldiers were released.
But now in the U.S.very difficult to find Strelets ww1 german infantry. None of my suppliers have them and say they cant get them.
Kind of frustrating if you want to start a ww1 series and can no longer get sets you need. Just my thoughts. Thank You!

Re: Some Questions for strelets

Just an idea but would it be possible for strelets to re-release say two or three of their back catalogue each year.
Maybe Strelets could have a vote on this forum listing the usable moulds that they have in stock.
This could be done as I believe Strelets re-released a few sets at the end of last year on a limited run & could be good for strelets as well as the members of this forum.

Re: Some Questions for strelets

Dear Cappy,

Germans are still available (we presume, you're talking about stormtroops) all they have to do is just place their order with us.

Regards,

Strelets

Re: Some Questions for strelets

Re: Some Questions for strelets

Thank You!for your reply. Hopefully they would be considered for a re-stock. If not perhaps a new set could be made to go with the French. They need an adversary.
I enjoy your products as I have bought literally hundreds of boxes over the years.
Again thanks for everything. Cappy

Just in case this is of any use, but the postage costs from Europe may be high.

Re: Some Questions for strelets

Thank you Sandy.Alas I dont know how to order from another country. I will just have to wait and see if Strelets will re-stock them or sculpt something new. Cappy

Re: Some Questions for strelets

Thanks for posting that link Sandy. I had given up on being able to find a set, so snapped one up forthwith!
Four sets remaining...

Re: Some Questions for strelets

I am sure Strelets will correct me if I am wrong, but I think the problem with restock is that Strelets use moulds that only make 5000 or so sets before they deteriorate. At least that's how it used to be, I think. Therefore to do restock would involve remaking the moulds, not always practicable.
