Re: Portuguese

I think strelets would do a good job on the forces of Portugal how popular they would be I am not sure.
I don't think the Emhar peninsular sets were that popular I bought all the range when it came out& they are all still in my stash.
I have also noticed that the Portuguese set seemed to be the least popular of the range I have seen many a set in the bargain bucket in model shops.

Interesting, Steve. I would not have thought so but I accept your eye-witness observations.

This underlines why so many manufacturers make WW2 Germans & Napoleonic French infantry: they KNOW these will sell.

Re: Portuguese

Portuguese Cacadores would be very much welcomed and no need to stop there why not Portuguese Line Infantry and Portuguese Cavalry, Portuguese troops armed and trained by the British were a vital part of Wellington's army and deserve some decent representation in 1/72 scale.

Re: Portuguese

I bought the Emhar figures, they are also in my stash for when I can get back to painting again. I bought some extra British Peninsular Infantry to do some paint conversions as Portuguese Line to supplement the Emhar figures. Between them and other Spanish sets available I hope to field a presentable Peninsular Allied Army when I'm done.

I haven't painted them yet, so Strelets, if you're listening... anything you'd offer would be greatly welcome.
