Andrew, indeed.

It must be difficult to model but its absence certainly detracts from the accuracy of a figure.

No big deal for me. There were vastly more muskets and rifles made and issued than slings, so not everybody had one by far.

This article is very interesting. At 1/72 scale, I've never liked the slings. They are always across the chest or cluttering up good details and in many cases have broken or never made a clean cast in the moulds anyway.

I really like the new Strelets FFL mounted set with the marching Legionnaires holding their slings, and also the others cocking their rifles it appears without slings.

Interesting facts here, and quite appropriate especially for our small scale and tiny details. Thanks, guys!
