Re: Out off stock

Mick
Yes I agree
But I think it's tooling cost
Stelets have told them produce
A certain amount of each Set then once sold
Then that's it
A real shame
Do not know what type of production
Moulds they use
I would have though they where steel tooling
Anyway life goes on
Thanks for the reply
There are many methods of producing tooling for plastic injection moulding, one of the most common methods today amongst smaller producers is short run tooling and has been around for a very long, this means what it says a limited production based on a tool that has a limited life expectancy, Strelets is one of many smaller firms that use this method.

Its relatively quick and cheap compared with other methods and can produce good results, its main disadvantage is its limited production as the tool wears out fairly quickly...
If it wasn't for short run though many subjects wouldn't be available and theres always the possiblity of producing a new kit often in an improved version.

Re: Out off stock

Yes that's very interesting
I have worked in the wargames figure producer industry
Caster and mould maker using silicone moulds
Also injection moulding I did not know There was different types of moulds.
As we used steel metal moulds
So I will look it up

Many Thanks for the feedback and all
