Welcome to the Strelets Forum. Please feel free to discuss any aspect of 1/72 scale plastic figures, not simply Strelets. If you have any questions about our products then we will answer them here.
Has anyone yet suggested the creation of a Strelets ACW battlefield casualties model set? Looking for one that would contain battlefield casualty figurines, field tent hospital, army doctors and orderlies, horse drawn ambulance, etc. I just ordered several boxes of all Strelets ACW figurine kits they manufacture. There are some with one or two figurine casualties but none contain field hospital, doctor, ambulance pieces.
That's a great idea; in my 1/32 ACW figure collection I've been able to collect a pretty fair representation of a medical corps for both sides along with ambulances, hospital tents, etc.; a dedicated set of field medical personnel and even a medical tent (or at least a field hospital set up as they were often put in civilian buildings) would be a great addition not only to Strelets' line but to the entire era. Your French Army Camp remains one of my favorite and over the years I've snatched duplicate sets up whenever they pop up.
Another kit I would like to see strelets develop is a ACW figurine set of the 54th Massachusetts regiment led by Colonel Robert Gould Shaw....haven't seen anything like it from any model figurine manufacturer yet.
one thing I tried was using old airfix artillery figures. The officers wear long coats that could be painted white for doctors. one of the loaders appears to be bending over and reaching down, could be an orderly etc. I used old atlantic 7th calvary tents. So you can make a makeshift triage area, but I agree that a new set from strelets would be great. Its so good seeing new ACW sets coming out. Keep them coming strelets!!!!
I agree it's a nice set that would work, but all retailers that listed the kit dont have it in stock and dont know if or when theyll have it again. I didn't see it listed on the Imex website which leads me to believe it's been discontinued. Hence the reason Strelet's should create a kit to fill the void.
