Re: Tomorrow.

Re: Tomorrow.

While not South Africa 1900-1902, still a very nice figure, thank you.

Re: Tomorrow.

Is it french line in greatcoat?

Re: Tomorrow.

Prussian or maybe Russian.

Re: Tomorrow.

I have got to admit I do like the in greatcoats troops they are easier to paint & look like a proper army.
I also like How strelets varies the headgear & equipment on the French line at attention set adds a bit more realism.
At first glance I thought the figure in the photo was another Prussian on the march but I'm not so sure now .:sob:

Re: Tomorrow.

Why Alan? The rucksack's design seems french to me...any other detail that I miss?
Well..your opinion worths to me

Re: Tomorrow.

The shako is tapered, in the Russian style, although it could be Prussian, but having had another look it could be French, thats the trouble with greatcoats they hide too much:laughing:

Re: Tomorrow.

We'd really have to see one of the figures without the shako cover to figure it out. But with the shako cover you could really make them anything you want if you paint. That's the great thing about figures with greatcoats, they cover everything. Sorry Alan, I couldn't resist! ;-)
:innocent:

Re: Tomorrow.

Thank you very much indeed!!!!

Re: Tomorrow.

The gaiters and the shako make me think this guy is Russian.

Re: Tomorrow.

French.

Re: Tomorrow.

French infantry marching in greatcoats; so much to look forward to.
Thanks again Strelets!
